Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Rowena, celebrates their 64th Anniversary
Members of Court Our Lady of Grace #1734, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Rowena, celebrated their 64th Anniversary on June 23, 2020, with a salad supper and evening of presenting awards.
Kay (Bernie) Halfmann and Kay (Werner) Halfmann received 55 year pins for their membership and service to the court. Regent Frerich also presented pins to the following: 5 years pin to Julie Book, Elizabeth Fuentes, Anne Halfmann, Karen Hoelscher and Mandy Smetana; 10 years pins to Holly Gaston and Laura Pospichal; 15 years pins to Bridgit Henrichs and Annie Ramirez; 25 years pin to Jodi Kalina and Diane Michalewicz; 40 years pin to Linda Frerich.
A monetary donation had been made by the court to help defray the cost of the National CDA Convention which was scheduled to be held July 15-19, 2020, in Dallas. The convention was cancelled due to the Corona Virus. Members voted to give the money to one of the National Charities.
Officers elected in May are: Regent: Linda Frerich; Vice-Regent: Norma Multer; Recording Secretary: Pat Vancil; Financial Secretary: Laura Pospichal; Treasurer: Jeane Irby. They will be formally installed at a later date.
