Two Runnels County teens have committed to serving their country. Winters' Amber Reyna and Ballinger's Terrell Haney recently took the oath and will head off to Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego for basic training this summer.

Ballinger's Terrell Haney has joined the United States Marine Corps and will head off to basic training in San Diego this summer.

The Runnels County Register wishes the recruits all of the luck in the world and appreciates their service to their country. Semper Fi!!!!

Ballinger Rotary Pints for Polio

Members of the Ballinger Rotary Club raised $815 for Pints for Polio at an event hosted by The Coffee Haus on Main in Ballinger.

The Ballinger Rotary Club raised $815 in a Pints for Polio event hosted by The Coffee Haus on Main Street in Ballinger in March.

Pints for Polio is an annual fundraiser that raises money to help in the global fight against polio. For every pint purchased on Oct. 23, $1 will be donated to Rotary International's Polio Plus campaign.
