The notice for Z. I. Hale Museum dues for the coming year is now done through Winters Gives. The annual family membership is $25, business is $50, and lifetime membership is $200. Please send in your dues for 2021, either through a Winters Gives envelope or mail directly to P.O. Box 211, Winters, TX 79567. It takes about $1,800 per month to operate the Museum — insurance, utilities, yard maintenance, repairs, etc. The ladies are doing less meals this year for fundraising, but we were fortunate enough to receive a $10,000 grant from Humanities Texas to help take up the slack during this difficult year.  Any extra donations are also much appreciated and you may want to support some of the other organizations as well. Thank you.

Winters Gives

The Season of Giving in Winters resulted in over $20,000 being donated through the Winters Area Foundation to benefit several local charities. Receiving funds were the Winters Child Development Center, Winters Ministerial Alliance, Winters Public Library, Winters Sports and Recreation and Z.I. Hale Museum. All of these are 501 C (3) organizations which are entitled to receive charitable donations.

Many of the donations came from former residents who still celebrate their Winters roots and want good things to continue in our city. Donations are still being accepted.  Memorials are also welcomed. Donations may be made to Winters Gives, Box 211, Winters, TX 79567.
