Winters High School Regional Track qualifiers and golf qualifiers

Three Winters High School athletes qualified for the regional track meet. Trent Hamilton qualified in shot put, while Laken Green qualified in discus and Aidan Leamon qualified in the 110m and 300m hurdles.

In golf, Zach Wheat and Laken Green qualified for the regional meet. Both athletes have qualified each year during their high school careers.

Ballinger Rotary Club

The Ballinger Rotary Club Sweetheart this year as Emma Cullen. She represented Rotary in the parade, riding in her father's classic car. Cullen is active at the school, participating in the One-act play, band, jazz band, choir, and DECA, among others.

Ballinger Women's Club

Ballinger Woman's Club meeting, April 21, 2021, had Kathy Evans to present the 'Squeaky Ministry' which accepts donations of items for 'personal care' (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant etc.) and household/cleaners (detergent, dish/mop soaps...) in containers of no more than12oz.  These items can be taken to First Methodist Church for distribution to those in need of such.

Club president Brenda Tyree held the business meeting. The hostesses, Mary Anne Green, Eddie Dunn and Dawni Seymore served an array of tasty treats. 

Ballinger Woman's Club appreciates our "friends and neighbors" coming for the Lasagna Lunch fundraiser.  We will be able to donate to Carnegie Library, award senior scholarships and some local needs.

Runnels County 4-H'er competes in shooting sports extravaganza

Charles McDaniel represented the Runnels County 4-H Club April 17, 2021, at the Texas State 4-H Shooting Sports Extravaganza held at the Texas 4-H Center in Brownwood, Texas

Charles completed in the intermediate age division in 10 M Target Air Pistol, Air Pistol Silhouette, Running Target, and Hunting and Decision Medley. He placed second in target air pistol and air pistol silhouette, and placed fourth in running target.

Charles is in the 7th grade and attends Ballinger Junior High School.
