Office of Rep. Bryan Slaton
Texas Rep. Jerry Slaton has introduced a bill calling on the State of Texas to complete former President Trump's border wall.

AUSTIN, TEXAS - Today, Representative Bryan Slaton of House District 2 filed HB 2862 to finish building the wall on the Texas-Mexico border that began during President Donald Trump's Administration.

The wall would significantly curb the surging illegal immigration crisis at the southern border.Representative Slaton commented on this, saying, "President Trump fought to bring real border security and was opposed by Republicans and Democrats in congress. While hundreds of miles of new wall were built under his leadership, the Biden administration has already ceased border wall construction. It is time for Texas to stand up and finish the work that President Trump started. Let’s finish building the border wall now."

Included in the bill is the requirement that the Governor seek reimbursement from the federal government for construction costs, as well as the requirement that the wall be memorialized as the "President Donald J. Trump Wall."

Representative Bryan Slaton is a former Pastor for 13 years, and a small business owner. He currently represents Texas House District 2 which includes Hunt, Hopkins and Van Zandt Counties. More information about Bryan Slaton can be found at https://bryanslaton.com
