BALLINGER - The Ballinger Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred on Feb. 8. The victim was transported to Ballinger Memorial Hospital where a helicopter arrived and transported him to another hospital. There aren't many details at this time as it is an active investigation. We were informed that the victim knew the assailant. A full story will be published once the investigation is wrapped up and we can obtain further information.

BALLINGER HIGH SCHOOL -  Ballinger High School sophomore Christy Zhuang has been snapping photos of sporting events as well as other events at the high school. You can see her photos on her Facebook page. We will also run her photos from time to time in Around the County. BALLINGER - Alpha Upsilon Sorority gathered Valentine's snacks and goodies for the two nursing homes here in Ballinger.  They will be distributed for Valentine's Day and also used for bingo prizes. Pictured left to right are members of Alpha Upsilon Phi sorority Kim Castleberry, Martha Pinckney, Amy Havlak, Cheryl Buchanan and Darlene Kelly. Not pictured are members Angie Halfmann and Pat Watkins.

COLEMAN COUNTY - Coleman County Electric Cooperative would like to congratulate the following employees on reaching various years of service milestones! Tony Williams – 40 years, Matthew Henderson – 25 years, Jeffrey Moreland – 20 years, and Danny Morales – 5 years

We also would like to recognize two of our board members for their outstanding years of service! Bob Fuchs – 20 years, and David Wright – 10 years. Thank you all for your service and dedication to Coleman County Electric Cooperative and our members!
