Winters Area Foundation was able to distribute checks this week to several of the local non-profits in the area. These are grants that possibly could have been granted at the annual dinner, however, due to Covid. that dinner was cancelled. The board felt that Winters area organizations would need additional funds more than ever. Organizations receiving funds were Z.I. Hale Museum, Winters Ministerial Alliance for Samaritan House and Runnels County Meals on Wheels, Winters Child Development Center, Wingate Fire Department, Winters FFA and Winters Art Program. Earlier in the year the Winters Public Library received a sizeable grant from the Winters Foundation for repairs. President Beth Wortham delivered checks this week for these organizations.

Current emphasis for the Winters Area Foundation is the Winters Gives program. Letters will soon go out to potential supporters of the local organizations. Donations can be made for any or all of the organizations: Winters Area Foundation Scholarships, Winters Child Development Center, Winters Area Sports and Recreation, Winters Ministerial Alliance, Winters Public Library and the Z. I Hale Museum. Donations and memorials are always accepted into the Foundation and may be designated for a specific non=profit organization.

Your monetary gifts may be sent to the Winters Area Foundation, PO Box 211, Winters, TX 79567 or look for the Winters Gives envelope in your mail.
