Jack Howard Pritchard, 93, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Jack was born to Willie Belle and Elmer Madison Pritchard on November 9, 1926 in Bell County, Texas.

Jack attended Maizeland and Wingate schools before marrying the love of his life, Lucille Allbright, on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1944. He served in the Korean Conflict, then returned home to work for Runnels County, then farm and ranch for over 60 years. He and Lucille raised four sons, with whom he enjoyed hunting and fishing while they were growing up. Jack served on the Wingate School Board, Wilmeth Co-op Gin Board, and was a member and deacon of Wilmeth Baptist Church.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Mask; brother, Pat Pritchard; and loving wife PeeWee (Lucille).

He is survived by his sons: Dr. Larry Pritchard and wife Katherine of Crawford; Johnny Bob Pritchard and wife Deb of Winters; Rex Pritchard and wife Cheryl of Lubbock; and Steve Pritchard and wife Penny of Winters. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren: Jack Pritchard and wife Emily of Greenville, NC; Brandon Pritchard and wife Tiffany of Crawford; Addison Pritchard of Houston; Colin Pritchard and wife Megan of Crawford; Marie Carlisle and husband Chad of Lubbock; Misty Sutton and husband Stuart of Canyon; Mandy Jeter and husband Seth of Shallowater; Cody Pritchard and wife Brittany of Bronte; Colby Pritchard and wife Audie of Winters; Coltyn Pritchard and wife Chelsea of Shallowater; Corey Pritchard and fiancé Ashley Guy of Winters; Kayla Jordon of Loveland, Colorado; Kinley Pritchard and wife Bethany of Bronte; Jessica Niles and husband Mark of Lorena; Jack Pritchard of Winters; and Jaymee Pritchard of Coupland. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will be at Winters Funeral Home on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Wingate Cemetery under the direction of Winters Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ballinger Home Health & Hospice (8118 Hutchins Ave., Ballinger, TX 76821) or North Runnels Home Health (7821 TX Hwy 153, Winters, TX &9567).

The family greatly appreciates the devoted kindness and attentive care of Jack’s caregivers for the past 26 months: Sara Esquivel, Val Luna, Elia Reyna, Sabrina Esquivel, Juana Lopez, Vanessa Esquivel, Millie Ortiz, and Richard Denigro. The family would also like to thank Ballinger Home Health & Hospice and North Runnels Home Health for their kindness and care.
