Ballinger resident dies in single vehicle wreck

Donald Raymond Fisher, male, 76, of Ballinger, was killed on Monday night, June 29th, in a single-vehicle rollover collision in Taylor County.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Fisher was driving his 2018 Subaru Forester southbound on US-83 at 10:43 p.m. during a period of heavy rain. Approximately 1 mile south of Bradshaw in Taylor County, Fisher’s vehicle hydroplaned, causing him to lose control and leave the roadway.. According to the report, Fisher went off of the west side of the highway and rolled over. The report shows that Fisher was wearing his seatbelt. The report said that there was also standing water on the roadway.

Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His body was transported to Abilene Professional Services.
