Second suspect arrested in Short Stop drive-by shooting
Zachery Davis, 21, of San Angelo, wanted in connection to a drive-by shooting in Ballinger that occurred on June 11, was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department on the afternoon of Sunday, June 21st.
Ballinger police had obtained a warrant charging Davis with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for his role in the drive-by that occurred at the Short Stop convenience store in Ballinger. No one was injured in the shooting. Davis’ bond was set at $150,000. He had not bonded out as of June 22.
Another suspect, Bethany Danielle Molina, 21, also of San Angelo, was arrested in Upton County later on the night of the shooting. She, too, was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond was set at $100,000.00 and she has bonded out.
A vehicle suspected of being used in the drive-by was also recovered the night of the shooting.
Ballinger police spokeswoman Suzanne Torres said that the department is still investigating the incident and there could be more arrests in the future, “We are still working on juvenile suspect(s) as we speak.”
