Miles athletes fared well at the UIL Regional Track Championships held April 27-28 at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa with Lady Bulldog Skyler Brooks advancing to the State meet in Austin.

Miles athletes fared well at the UIL Regional Track Championships held April 27-28 at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa with Lady Bulldog Skyler Brooks advancing to the State meet in Austin.

Brooks is the regional champion in the 100m dash and second place winner in the 200 meter dash and she will move on to the State Track and Field Meet in Austin, May 11-12.

Miles Bulldog Joe Meza ran hard and came in sixth with a time of 4:52 in the 1600m run. Ross Kalina had a great triple jump and came in fifth place.

Other Miles athletes who competed included Mason Bryan who had a good run in the long and triple jump but will not advance to state.

Winters had a slate of athletes who competed in the meet but none will be advancing to state. Those who placed included Jovan Young who took fifth place in the 400m dash and Baily Knight who took sixth place in the 400m dash.
