Ethel Joan Fuchs

Tucson, AZ - Ethel Joan Fuchs, 84, passed away on April 13, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona. Joan had a long career as an Operating Room Nurse in Tucson before retiring with her husband, David, in Olfen, Texas. In retirement, Joan spent her time volunteering with the Clan Campbell Society, the VFW, and she especially loved her time with her friends selling quilt raffle tickets for the St. Boniface Catholic Church Fall Festival. In her spare time, she befriended many goats!

Joan was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Edwin and Margaret Saunders. She was preceded in death by her husband David J. Fuchs. Joan is survived by her sister, Margaret Lehan and husband Donald Lehan of Wentzville, Missouri; son, William Beatty and his wife Shari Myoraku of Tucson, AZ; son Robert Beatty and his wife Jerri Beatty of Matthews, NC; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside ceremony celebrating Joan's life will take place at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen, Texas, on Monday, June 7, at 10:00 am.

We would especially like to thank her caregivers at El Nino Assisted Living for caring for Joan through her final journey.
