Dortha Fay Montgomery Wiley

Early - Dortha Fay Montgomery Wiley was born September 5, 1943, in the home of her parents Henry Thomas (Bud) Montgomery and Ozella Cowan Montgomery in Rockwood. Texas. She was raised in Ballinger. Following graduation from high school, Dortha went to Abilene Commercial College for business education. September 1, 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, Gary Wiley. At the age of 7, Dortha accepted Christ as her Savior and continued to serve her Lord at home, church and community. Her life was full of blessings and she tried to share those blessings with others. Her most precious earthly possessions were her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brother, Tom Montgomery, sister, LaRuth Jenkins and her husband, Paul Jenkins; brother-in-law, Delbert Wiley and sister-in-law, Kay Cape.

Survivors include her husband Gary, three children, Tylene Gamble and husband, Robert, of East Bernard, Eric Wiley and wife, Michele, of Early, and Lucinda Millson and husband, Randy, of Newnan, Ga. Also, grandchildren Justin Gamble and wife, Abby, and daughter, Kaytlyn; Brian Gamble and wife, Amanda, and daughter Haylee, Kimberly Gamble, Angelyn Wiley, David Wiley, Oren Millson and Charles Millson.

Other survivors include sisters-in-law, Sandra Wiley, Carolyn Urbantke and Lloyd, brothers-in-laws, Milford Wiley and wife, Jerrie; Kenneth Wiley and wife, Janet and Dennis Cape. Many other loving family members were part of Dortha's blessings.

Services for Dortha will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the Salt Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmie Mize officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:30 AM Wednesday at Heartland Funeral Home prior to the service at the church.

The family would like to thank her caring medical support team, Salt Creek Baptist Church family, friends and even strangers that lifted her up during her challenges with ALS.

Memorials may be made to Salt Creek Baptist Church Building Fund- Early, Texas; The ALS Association of Texas or to a favorite charity.
