San Angelo - Eloise Wood Brown, 90, of San Angelo, formerly of Winters, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
She was born June 2, 1930 to James Wesley and Bertie Wood in Old Runnels City, Texas. She graduated from Ballinger High School in 1947. She married Earnest Brown on June 26, 1948, he preceded her in death in 2008. Eloise enjoyed sewing and button collecting. She made blue garters for 400 brides. She was involved with her children's school activities. She was a Methodist.
Eloise is survived by 3 children: Carolyn Floyd and husband Stacy Powell of Miles, Barbara Killam and husband Don of San Angelo, and Bubba Brown and wife Judy Sheffield of San Angelo; 5 grandchildren: Michelle Evans and husband Chris, Tracy Lindsey, Bradley Floyd and wife Deseree, Sayer Killam, and Sterling Brown; 7 great-grandchildren: Makayla Lindsey and husband Michael Scott, Kody Lindsey, Sha Shoni McCullough, Cameron Lindsey, Avree King, Kelcie Davis, and one on the way in August; 2 great-great-grandchildren: Braylynn Scott and Raiden Scott; 3 step-great-grandchildren: Cheyanne, Zack, and Beth; 3 step-great-great-grandchildren: Lainey, Prarie, and Kyle; sister Joan Bradshaw.
Graveside services will be held at Old Runnels Cemetery on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Winters Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to the Winters Public Library or Hospice of San Angelo.
