William Stanley (Bill) Barker, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2020 at North Runnels Hospital in Winters.

Bill was born on Jan. 6, 1930 in Wilmeth to King and Grace (Campbell) Barker. He attended Mazeland school in Wilmeth. His family moved to San Angelo where he graduated high school. He proudly served in the U S Navy from 1948 until his retirement in 1968. He served at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Washington state, various other posts, and in the Korean conflict. After his retirement he worked as a machinist and was an avid woodworker. He made his home in Center Point.
Bill married Bobbie Jean Jackson in Yuma, Arizona in 1951. They had two children, Cathy and Keith. He was preceded in death by Bobbie in 1994 and Cathy in 2009.
Bill married Charlotte Robertson Miller in 1996 in Winters. They enjoyed spending their time in both Winters and Center Point.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Winter; son, Keith Barker and wife Kim of Kingwood; four grandchildren, Patrick, Jackson, Chris, and Courtney, and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by step-children, Michael Davis and his wife Nancy of Winters and Carla Woolley and her husband John of Fort Worth; and step-granddaughters, Stefanie and Rachel.
A private graveside service will be held and burial will be at Wilmeth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in Winters or the charity of the giver’s choice.
