Kelly John Cullen of Ballinger, Texas and Platteville, Wisconsin age 60, left to be in the arms of the Lord on Friday, February. 23, 2018.

Kelly was born on June 14, 1957 to Patrick W. Cullen and Geneva M. Cullen at Platteville Municipal Hosptial. Kelly attended St. Mary’s Parochial School and Platteville High School.

Kelly served in the army from 1974-1976. He was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX. After serving in the Army Kelly returned to Platteville where he drove truck starting with Cullen Livestock and Trucking. During this time Kelly received his GED of which he was very proud.

Texas soon drew him back again where he continued driving truck. His first year with Handy Hank he was awarded Driver of the Year. His second proud accomplishment.

Returning to Platteville he married Karla Fidler on April, 13,1987. They had 3 children - Kelli, Justin, Paige and he gained a step son Casey. He adored his children and loved that he was a Grandpa.

Eventually, Texas drew him back to where he loved. This time he received a CNA degree. He was very a dedicated, passionate caregiver and was highly thought of by his coworkers.

Kelly’s life ended way too soon. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services and internment will be posted then held at a later date.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Kelli and Paige, Platteville, son, Justin (Toni Michel) of San Francisco, 1 step-son, Casey Cullen of Madison, Wi. and 1 grandson, Hayden, Platteville, Mother, Geneva M. Cullen (Diwiatt Barker) Las Vegas, Nv., 4 brothers, Ron, Prairie Du Chien, Wi., Kevin (Wendy) Belmont, Wi., Brian (Barry Tamminga) Monroe, Wi., and Brent (Jaime Vavricka) Shullsburg, Wi. 2 sisters, Cynthia Symons (Mike) McFarland, Wi. and Lori Reddy (Paras) of Platteville. Proceeded in death by his father Patrick Cullen, 2002, his brother Paul, 2013, and his sister, Christine Manthey, Harlingen 2016.
