Special to the Register from Ballinger FFA instructor Tylan Long.

Ballinger FFA is proud to announce that three of our members have been elected to offices above the chapter level. Briley Clinton will serve as the President and Jenna Battle will serve as the Sentinel of the Big Country District Association. Reagan Helms will serve as an officer for the Area IV Association and will compete with eleven other candidates to be the President of the Association on May 11th.

This year has been a challenge for our students with the pandemic. Our members have adapted and met the challenge. There are 21 chapters and over 1500 members in our Big Country District and the turnout for the virtual election was high. The Area IV Association has 98 chapters and over 9300 members that will be represented in the election on May 11th.

As a district officer, our students will receive additional leadership training, assist with camps and conventions and host a district wide awards banquet. The area officer will attend a week long training hosted by the Texas FFA, help plan and execute the Area IV Leadership Camp, Greenhand Camp and Convention. The area officer will also assist with the Texas FFA Convention and represent Texas at the National FFA Convention.

Our chapter looks forward to seeing what these young leaders accomplish in their year of service.
