The Ballinger Woman’s Club met Feb. 19 at Carnegie Library. Penny Klosterman, author of two books, “There Was An Old Dragon Who Swallowed A Knight” and “A Cooked- Up Fairy Tale,” published by Random House Children’s Books, told about the joys and hard work that goes into being a published children’s book author. She went through the steps of writing books and answered all questions asked. These books are available at the Carnegie Library. A special thank you to Mrs. Klostermann for coming from Abilene to share her knowledge.

Club president, Brenda Tyree, led the business meeting with reports from club officers. Preparations for the Salad Luncheon held on election day, March 3, at 11 a.m. at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church were reviewed. Proceeds from this event are to help support Ballinger Carnegie Library. We encourage folks to come join us.

Hostesses Kay Smith, Carolyn Slaughter, Clydell Selby and June Koch served a selection of refreshments enjoyed by all.
