Every year for nearly 20 years the Runnels County Sheriff’s office has held their annual Christmas toy drive. In 2018 the sheriff’s office lost a corporate sponsor but the citizens stepped in and the sheriff’s office was able to give out toys to over 300 families. The sheriff’s office had another successful year in 2019, in what is now becoming an annual pilgrimage for motorcycle clubs and people eager to donate to the cause. Sheriff Carl Squyers wanted to thank everyone who made the toy drive successful”
“The Runnels County Sheriff’s Office would like to give a special thanks to the people and businesses that helped to make our Sheriff’s Office Toy drive a success. We would like to thank our local businesses who set up toy donation drop sites and the many people who donated funds and toys for the drive. Your support has really made a difference in our community and in the lives of the people who live here.
