What position are you running for?

I am hoping to be re-elected as Runnels County Commissioner Precinct 3.

Why are you running?

I am confident that my professional experience combined with my incentive to

serve my community, make me an excellent candidate.

What do you see as the biggest challenges for the position that you’re running

for?

A. Providing a quality law enforcement program for the county with such

limited funding.

B. Balancing the budgets with the continuing unfunded mandates from

state government in a low tax base environment.

Do you have previous experience, either in the position for which you or running

or in another comparable capacity?

I have three years as a Commissioner for Runnels county. I served six

years on a school board of a 3A school district. I worked 30 plus years for

an industrial construction and engineering company. I have managed

several multi-million -dollar projects, for clients such as Exxon, Shell Oil,

Occidental. I received several performance commendations during my

career, for safety, quality, and budget management.

What qualities do you feel that best epitomize the ideal candidate for the

position for which you are running?

First of all, you must want to serve people, to better their life in some way.

You must be able to prioritize needs of the populace against available

funds.

Honesty. Integrity, and old fashion honor fashion the foundation of any

leader.
