The Winters Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting our annual Christmas parade on Saturday December 14, at 6:30 pm.  This will be the third consecutive year for a night time lights parade in Winters.

The theme for this year’s parade will be “Winter Wonderland”.  The parade will feature the Winters Sno-royalty, the Blizzard marching band, the Gus Pruser Ag. Museum tractors, first responder vehicles, Suez Shriner’s carts, classic cars, floats from local organizations/citizens, and of course Santa Claus.  The Grinch will also be traveling around collecting non-perishable food items for the Samaritan House food pantry.

Starting at noon, there will be food trucks, vendors, and downtown shopping.

The Winters Public Library will have a tree-trimming party and Storytime from 10 till noon.  From 4:00 – 6:00pm they will have an Open House.  Family pictures will be offered at both events.

The Child Development Center will host “Pictures with Santa from 3:30 – 6:00pm at GPS Insurance Agency.

The Winters Welcome Center at 155 N Main will be providing hot chocolate and refreshments starting at 5:00pm, courtesy of the Winters Area Chamber of Commerce.

The downtown lights parade will start at 6:30 outside of the First Baptist Church, travel south down Main St., turning right onto Hamilton, then traveling north up Melwood to culminate at the Rock Hotel, where Sno-Royalty and Parade Float winners will be announced.

We encourage everyone to join us to celebrate the spirit of the season.  We will be accepting float entries and vendors until the day of the parade.  There is no charge to enter, however we ask that you donate a non-perishable food item to the local food pantry.  Information on the parade can found at or by calling (325)754-5210.

This will be a great celebration of the joy of the season, and the more participants and spectators that we can acquire, the greater the fun.
