A 19-year old Ballinger woman was killed in a single vehicle collision on Saturday night 4-miles east of Ballinger.

The Texas Department of Public Safety report said that Christine Evelyn Reitmayer, 47, of Ballinger, was driving her 2012 Cadillac SRX SUV east on highway 67, approximately 4 miles east of Ballinger when the collision occurred. According to the report, Reitmayer’s vehicle went off of the side of the road at which time she turned the wheel to the left to get back on the roadway. That sent the vehicle in a right-side skid and it then went through a fence and rolled over in a pasture.

Reitmayer suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was transported to Shannon Medical Center. A passenger in the vehicle, Drew Blake Crenshaw, 19, of Ballinger, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Ballinger city councilwoman Kristi Goetz has known the family for many years and commented on the tragedy, “The first thing that comes to mind when describing Drew is “angelic.” She had the voice of an angel, face of an angel and heart of gold. Drew loved her family, friends, and all creatures big and small and seemed to have a soft spot for the underdog. She will be missed more than she could have imagined.”

The crash is still under investigation and more details will be posted when made available by DPS.
