Coleman PRCA Rodeo June 7-9
COLEMAN - The Annual Coleman PRCA Rodeo gets underway today and runs through Saturday with all types of rodeo events, music and fun for the whole family. The rodeo kicks off tonight at 7:15 p.m. with Mutton Busin’ followed by the rodeo at 8 p.m. and an old fashioned honky-tonk dance featuring Jody Nix. The rodeo continues Friday at 8 p.m. with Roger Creager and a special guest as the musical performers. The Rodeo Parade gets underway in downtown Coleman at 10 a.m. Saturday and rodeo events will continue through the evening with Koe Wentzel performing at the dance at 9:45 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate or online for adults, $4 in advance or $5 for online or at the gate for children 6-12. Children 6 and under get in free. Tickets for Jody Nix are $15 and tickets for Roger Creager and Koe Wentzel are $20 for each concert. Tickets are available at the Coleman Chamber of Commerce, Coleman County State Bank, KEAN in Abilene and KOXE FM in Brownwood.
Ballinger Farmers' Market Saturdays
BALLINGER - The Ballinger Farmers' Market is open eeach Saturday with plenty of fresh locally produced foods and artisan products in historic downtown Ballinger. The Farmers' Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. With the motto of "eat fresh, buy local," organizers pride themselves on providing local farmers, growers, ranchers, and artisan vendors an opportunity to sell and educate the general public about the nutritional and economic impact of eating seasonally and shopping locally.
Seniors Fun Night each Friday
WINTERS - Friends of Seniors of Winters has Fun Night and Potluck Supper at 5:30 p.m. on Friday nights each week at the Senior Center 601 Wood St. Winters. Visitors can enjoy cards, pool, dominoes, games and bingo. Bring a covered food dish to share and join the fun!
