I love to see Norman Rockwell’s paintings because he had a unique way of depicting life’s situations in a simple way. Recently I saw four of his paintings.
I love to see Norman Rockwell’s paintings because he had a unique way of depicting life’s situations in a simple way. Recently I saw four of his paintings. One depicted freedom of speech, another freedom from want, another freedom from fear and finally freedom of worship. These basic freedoms are important to everyone but I also think there is one more very important freedom and that is peace with God.
All through Biblical history there have been people and angels that were either at peace, friends, with God or enemies. Satan or the Devil was the first enemy of God when he rebelled in heaven and many angels followed him when he was cast out, (Luke 10:18). And then when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sin entered the world, the result was separation from God, (Genesis 3:17-19).
Their disobedience followed in their children when Cain killed his brother Abel and sin has permeated all mankind, (Genesis 4:8, Romans 3:23). God is a God of love and He wanted to make a way we would not be separated from Him so He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to provide a way that our sins could be forgiven and we could have peace with the living God, (Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8). I think, (1 Peter 3:18, John 3:16), really explains and tells of God’s love for us. See you in church next Sunday. Brother J
