Ballinger Farmers' Market Saturday
BALLINGER - The Ballinger Farmers' Market will open for the season Saturday, May 5 with plenty of fresh locally produced foods and artisan products in historic downtown Ballinger. The Farmers' Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. With the motto of "eat fresh, buy local," organizers pride themselves on providing local farmers, growers, ranchers, and artisan vendors an opportunity to sell and educate the general public about the nutritional and economic impact of eating seasonally and shopping locally.
Carnegie Library Golf Tournament June 2
BALLINGER - The second annual “new and improved” Golf Tournament benefitting the Carnegie Library will be Saturday, June 2 at the Ballinger Country Club. Teams will consist of two persons, and will be played as an 18-hole scramble one day only. The entry fee is $100 per team, which includes a mulligan for each player. One half of the entry-fee money will be donated directly to the Carnegie Library and the other half will be paid out in prize money. Seniors Fun Night each Friday
WINTERS - Friends of Seniors of Winters has Fun Night and Potluck Supper at 5:30 p.m. on Friday nights each week at the Senior Center 601 Wood St. Winters. Visitors can enjoy cards, pool, dominoes, games and bingo. Bring a covered food dish to share and join the fun!
