Trunk or Treat

BALLINGER - Get your scary costumes and bring the whole family down to Trunk or treat on Halloween night in Downtown Ballinger. The event is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 6-8 in the 100 block of 8th Street along Railroad Avenue and down to the Ballinger fire Department.October 31st 6-8 Trunk or Treat free event. There will be hotdogs and bottled water available for a canned food donation to the Ballinger Ministerial Alliance. The BMA will also be accepting monetary donations as well as non-perishable food items. The Runnels County Register will be taking photos for the Best Costume Contest, so come on down and scare up some fun!

Hunters Appreciation Dinner

BALLINGER - The Hunters Appreciation Dinner is slated for Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Ballinger Community Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served up by the Runnels County 4-H starting at 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and the meal includes brisket, sausage, all the trimmings and tea. There will be 20 raffle items and tickets are only $1 each. There will also be a silent auction, vendors and door prizes. There will also be complimentary adult beverages available. All proceeds benefit Runnels County 4-H.

Senior Citizen lunch

BALLINGER - The First United Methodist Church in Ballinger will provide a free lunch to Ballinger senior citizens on the second Tuesday of each month at the Senior Citizens Center. The meal will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The doors will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make time for seniors attending to have time for visiting and fellowship. Anyone who needs a ride to the lunch, please call 365-2323. Wheelchairs cannot be transported.
