Three candidates have filed to run for the Ballinger City Council including Jason Gore and Anita Martinez for Single Member District 1 currently held by Phillip Arp and Amanda Collom for Single Member District Place 2, currently held by Darlene Kelly. Mayor Sam Mallory filed to run for reelection.

Both incumbents for the Ballinger ISD board of trustees have filed including Manuel Galvan, Single Member District 1 and Dale Halfmann, Single Member District 6. Chad McDuffee has filed to run for SMD 1.

One incumbent and one new candidate have filed to run for two of the three seats on the Winters ISD board of trustees. Jim Lincycomb, incumbent for Place 5 has filed and Chris Bahlman has filed to run for the Place 6 seat currently held by Jerry Sims.

Five persons have filed to run for at large seats on the Ballinger Memorial Hospital District Board including Dr. Bradley Bundrant, Joyce Waterfill a former member of the board, Bryan Jennings and incumbent Mike Dankworth, who is president of the board. The name of the fifth candidate was not released by BMH at press time.

North Runnels Hospital has three at-large positions up for election. Those who have filed include Eva Reyna and Zelda Stewart along with incumbents Joe Frank Guajardo and Scotty Belew.

The deadline to file in each of the elections is Aug. 21.
