Two Ballinger students received some intense training during a national football camp they attended over the summer.

Aiden Busenlehner and Adam Winn, who will both be freshman at Ballinger High School this fall, attended Football University’s Top Gun Showcase, which is an intense two-day training camp that provides 18 hours of instruction to players in grades 6-12.

The two started at the camp in Austin in March, and went on to the national camp in June in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Aiden and Adam will be playing on the Bearcats junior varsity team this season.

Both said they learned valuable lessons while at the camp. Both have been playing footbal since the third grade.

“I learned from NFL coaches and players and learning what they think about the game,” said Aiden.

“I’m bringing back more knowledge about my position better technique and more skill," Adam said.

City Manager and Bearcat supporter Bryan Grimes said the two represented Ballinger well.

“It is an honor to represent Ballinger near and far,” Grimes said. “I congratulate them along with all of the other Bearcats who have worked hard this summer. We are looking forward to a great year.”
