Winters High School had a good showing at the Region I-2A Academic UIL Meet last Saturday at Odessa College.

Winters High School had a good showing at the Region I-2A Academic UIL Meet last Saturday at Odessa College. One student qualified for state while another student is a state alternate in two events. Junior Brandon L’Abbe will make his third appearance in Austin at the State UIL Meet next weekend. He placed second in the regional Computer Applications contest.

Senior Grace Bryan placed fourth in Social Studies and fifth in Ready Writing, and will serve as an alternate to the state meet in both events. In addition, the WHS Social Studies team of Bryan, seniors Sean Mooney and Efren Rodriguez and junior Megan Jacob, placed third among the eight teams. Other students representing WHS were seniors K’Lee Lindley and AJ Smith.
