WINTERS - The Lady Blizzards district woes continued this past week as they lost both of their games and dropped to 0-4 in district play.

WINTERS - The Lady Blizzards district woes continued this past week as they lost both of their games and dropped to 0-4 in district play. On Tuesday Jan. 3, Winters traveled to Eldorado and were defeated 45-20 by the Lady Eagles. Aimee Green and Monique Carrillo had five points a piece, while Karlee Busher had 10 rebounds and five steals in the game.  

On Friday, the Lady Blizzards hosted the first place Christoval Lady Cougars and were defeated 64-24. Aimee Green had eight points, while Karlee Busher had six.  The Lady Blizzards are now 13-10 on the season. They travel to Miles on Tuesday and host Irion County on Friday to complete the first half of district play.

The JV Lady Blizzards evened their district record at 2-2, by winning both of their games last week. They defeated Eldorado's JV 31-24. Jezebel Gonzalez had 11 points, while Shelby Gray had nine. On Friday, the JV Lady Blizzards beat Christoval's JV 34-19. Marley Smith had 15 points, while Shelby Gray added nine.  The JV Lady Blizzards are now 11-5 on the season.
