Four Ballinger Junior High students took places in TMEA Region 6 All-Region Honor Choirs in two separate auditions.


In TMEA Region 6 Middle School All-Region Choir auditions held Saturday, October 22, at Craig Middle School in Abilene, Scarlett Grimes, alto, was named to the All-Region Treble Choir, and Aiden Knight, tenor I, was named to the All-Region Tenor-Bass Choir. Scarlett placed in the top 25 students in her section and Aiden placed in the top 15 in his section to qualify for their respective choirs.   In TMEA Region 6 Sixth Grade Honor Choir auditions held Tuesday, November 1, at First Baptist Church in Abilene, Robert Roman and Evan Strube were named to the Sixth Grade All-Region Honor Choir by placing in the top 35 students of the 59 students who auditioned in their section.

“We are very proud of the achievements of each of these students and their service to BJHS,”  Dale Ellis, choral director said.

  Scarlett and Aiden, both seventh graders, are eligible to participate in the Junior High/Middle School All-Region Choir Clinic and Concert, and Robert and Evan, both sixth graders, are eligible to participate in the Sixth Grade Honor Choir Clinic and Concert. Both concerts will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Clyde High School. There is no admission charge, and everyone is invited, in fact encouraged, to attend the concerts in support of these young people.
