Cecil and Gayle Kalina of Miles, Texas, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Victoria Gayle Kalina to Landon Oliver Orman, son of Lonnie and Leola Orman of Roscoe, Texas and Lynnette and Robert Ramirez of Odessa, Texas.

Cecil and Gayle Kalina of Miles, Texas, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Victoria Gayle Kalina to Landon Oliver Orman, son of Lonnie and Leola Orman of Roscoe, Texas and Lynnette and Robert Ramirez of Odessa, Texas.  

Victoria graduated from Ballinger High School in 2011 and Texas Tech University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a minor in Agricultural Management.  She went on to complete her Master of Agribusiness in December of 2015 at Texas Tech University.  She is currently employed at Sanders Incorporated in Roscoe, Texas.  Landon graduated from Highland High School in 2010 and Texas Tech University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics.  He is co-owner and operator of Orman Farms Harvesting.

The couple was married on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Rowena, Texas at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  

The bride’s wedding party included Matron of Honor, Tara King Cheatham, of San Angelo,  the bride’s sisters Jessica Kalina  of San Angelo and Allie Kalina of Miles,  the groom’s sister Eden Baker of Roscoe, and Kaytlyn Neff of San Marcos.  The groom’s wedding party included Best Man, Todd Mueller of Roscoe, Tyler Higgins of Hermleigh, Nicho Aguiro of Roscoe, Clint Holik of San Angelo, and Michael Massey of Roscoe.

The groom’s nieces, Jaycee and Elyen Baker of Roscoe served as flower girls along with the bride’s cousin, Hattie Kalina of Big Lake.  The ring bearer was Baines Kalina of Big Lake, cousin of the bride.  Candle lighters were Alyssa Schwertner of Miles and Leah Halfmann of San Angelo, friends of the bride.

Ushers included Bradley Schniers of Lubbock, Brandon Gully of Mereta, Jacob Kalina of Rowena, and Jeremy Baker of Roscoe.  The gift bearers were the bride’s godparents, Gene and Wanda Gully of Eola and brother and sister in law of the groom Jacoby and Lauren Johnson.  Lectors were cousins of the bride, Mark Baxter of  Eola, Dava Smetana of San Angelo, and Sara Flohr of Waukee, Iowa.   Eucharistic Ministers were the bride’s aunt Donna Kalina, Greg Schwertner, and Stephen Halfmann of Miles, and the bride’s uncle Roger Kalina of Big Lake.  Altar servers were cousins of the bride, Christopher Irby of Rowena and Nathan Schraer of Miles.

The music during the ceremony was provided by Ethel Jansa with the wonderful vocalists of Donnie Schwertner and Alexa Schwertner.  The celebrant for the ceremony was Father Tom Barley of Miles and the San Angelo Diocese.  

Victoria is the granddaughter of Marcel and Annie Lois Kalina of Eola and Pat Lange and the late David Lange of Rowena.  Landon is the grandson of Jannelle Orman and the late Arlo Orman of Roscoe and the late Yandell Toland of Roscoe.

The bride wore a beautiful A line alabaster lace over ivory gown with a cathedral length veil.  Her bouquet was red roses wrapped with her Grandmother Kalina’s lace from her wedding gown and a rosary entwined from her Grandmother Lange that was handed down from older generations and was used in her mother’s bridal bouquet.  A clip in her hair was constructed from lace and buttons from both of the bride’s Grandmothers wedding dresses and pearls from her mother’s wedding bouquet.  

The rehearsal dinner was at the Lowake Community Center and prepared by members of the bride’s family.  

The happy couple honeymooned in Morea, a Tahitian island, and are now residing in Roscoe, Texas.
