SAN ANGELO - The West Texas Jazz Orchestra will perform at the fourth Play It Again concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts located at One Love Street, on the river at Love and Oakes Streets.

SAN ANGELO - The West Texas Jazz Orchestra will perform at the fourth Play It Again concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts located at One Love Street, on the river at Love and Oakes Streets.

The West Texas Jazz Orchestra, led by band director James Bode, is made up of area high school and junior high band directors, Angelo State University music professors and other musicians. Music selections by composers such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Glenn Miller will be featured along with other popular big band and jazz music. The 2016-2017 Season is sponsored in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts.

The concert is open to all ages and those attending will have a chance to dance to their favorite tunes or just listen and enjoy the music.

This is the last Play It Again concert for the season with the West Texas Jazz Orchestra, but they will be returning for our 2017-2018 season in September.

Tickets for the performance are $10 for the general public, $8 for Art Museum members and $5 for students, elementary through college, senior citizens, and members of the military. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the Art Museum at 325-653-3333. Tickets will be available for purchase the day of the concert.
