Texas Tech Night April 27
WINTERS - Winters Area Red Raiders (WARR) will host Texas Tech University Night on Thursday, April 27, at the Rock Hotel in Winters. A Meet & Greet reception will be held at 6 p.m. followed by a fajita dinner at 6:30 p.m. Meal donations will be accepted at the door. Guest speakers for the evening are Jim Douglass, who currently serves as Associate Vice-President of the Texas Tech Alumni Association and Dr. Steve Fraze, Texas Tech University Dean of College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. WARR Scholarship presentations will also be made. WARR would like to promote Texas Tech University to all high school students, their families and members of our community who wish to attend this dinner. St. Mary's KOC Fish Fry
BALLINGER - The Knights of Columbus Annual Fish Fry will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 7 at the St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church Parish Center. The menu includes fried fish, fries, hushpuppies, cole slaw, beans and dessert. Dine in, carry out or drive through and the cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. BALLINGER - The First United Methodist Church will be sponsoring lunches throughout Lenten season at various churches in Ballinger. The schedule is as follows: St. Mary's Catholic Church, April 5 and Jesus Christ Church and Kingdom Streams, with lunch served at Kingdom Streams next to Tractor Supply, April 12.
