FRISCO — For all the progress of the first road playoff victory in 30 years, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys still can’t get out of their divisional- round rut. Now they have another year to think about it.

MILES - The football season in the rear view mirror while the 17-2 Bulldogs battle on the basketball court even as accolades from the gridiron are still coming in. It was a great season for the Miles Bulldogs who weathered their ups and downs behind the accurate passing arm and quick feet of quarterback Hayven Book. Now, Book has been nominated for 2A QB of the Year honors.

BALLINGER, TX - It was the moment that many of the fans gathered to watch Ballinger vs Clyde waited for all game on December 13; The Lady Cat’s Addison Martin scored her 1,000the career point. The all-around athleteis also a phenom in cross country and track scored the point as the crowd erupted.

It was a crazy football season for teams in Runnels County. Two of our teams won only a single game, while Miles made it to the playoffs being a remarkable passing attack. The All District teams were announced recently and we congratulate all of the players who were selected.

RUNNELS COUNTY - It was an interesting week in basketball last week with the boys’ teams opening their respective seasons. Ballinger falls 48-38 to Christoval The Bearcats dropped their game on the road against the Christoval Cougars on November 18th.

MILES - Before anything goes any further, let’s point out that the Miles Bulldogs have no reason to hang their heads. They had an incredible season that went well beyond the boundary markers of the football field.
