Runnels County to hold special bond election for jail repairs to address safety and health concerns
BALLINGER - On Tuesday, February 11, the Runnels County Commissioners Court voted to hold a special bond election in May to fund much-needed repairs to the county jail.
Dry spring forecast has elevated wildfire danger for the area
RUNNELS COUNTY ¾ The National Weather Service has a grim outlook for spring precipitation chances out here in Runnels County. The area is already in the middle of a drought that could become a serious drought by the end of spring if no substantial rainfall comes our way.

Anyone watch the Oscars Sunday night? Personally, I was disappointed with Conan's role as host and I thought the entire event was plastic and preconceived.
