Man Sentenced to Statutory Maximum of 20 Years in federal prison for receipt of child pornography

FORT WORTH, TX – Angel Aguilar Montalvo was sentenced June 28, 2022, by U.S. District Judge Means to the statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison following his guilty plea to an indictment charging one count of receipt of child pornography, announced U.S. Attorney Chad E. Meacham of the Northern District of Texas.

AG Paxton joins letter to Federal Trade Commission on baby formula shortage

AUSTIN –Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a multi-state letter, led by West Virginia, to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding the ongoing baby formula supply issues throughout the United States. This issue has plagued the entire country for weeks on end and Texas families are paying the price. The letter was sent in response to the FTC’s request for comments on possible causes of the infant formula shortage.

6 dead, 30 wounded in shooting at Chicago-area July 4 parade

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (AP) — A gunman on a rooftop opened fire on an Independence Day parade in suburban Chicago on Monday, killing at least six people, wounding at least 30 and sending hundreds of marchers, parents with strollers and children on bicycles fleeing in terror, police said. The suspect remained on the loose hours later as authorities scoured the area.
