Flu, RSV and Other Bad Colds
Nothing has been the same since COVID hit in 2020, and this year we are having an unusual amount of illness due to influenza and bad colds. All of these respiratory illnesses become more prevalent as the weather cools, and usually the number of office visits for flulike symptoms begins to rise during October. Typically, by sometime during November or early December about 2.5% of all office visits to a healthcare provider are because of flu-like symptoms.

Runnels County Historic Commission still seeking veteran info for book
BALLINGER - It started out as a project by the Runnels County Historic Commission (RCHC) to recognize veterans in Runnels County. Originally intended to be a single volume, it has blossomed into something much larger.

The Christmas tree business is merry and bright, with farms specializing in the traditional holiday decoration reporting brisk sales. Stan Reed, Executive Secretary for the Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association, said Christmas tree farms across the state have been busy.

Dexter, along with his sisters, was dumped by the river and found hiding under a bush. Fortunately, they were rescued by the Humane Society when someone found them and called.

Runnels County 4-Hers recently competed at the D7 4-H Livestock Judging Contest held in San Angelo. These 4-Hers have been practicing nearly every Sunday afternoon since late August working towards this contest.
