Mid-West Texas Artists Guild started their year off on September 6 with a business meeting. A report was given on the annual Art Camp held in June.

Special events include Rack Sack Belly Dancers at 11 a.m., Local DJ Robert Compton, Fatty’s Food truck. Brings the kids for Trick or Treat and pictures with the Great Pumpkin and ghost.
Friday: Berry scone, fresh apple, orange juice. Monday: Fluffy banana muffin, frsh apple, orange juice.
St. Boniface Fall Festival St. Boniface Fall Festival at Olfen will be Sunday, October 9, 2022. A sausage, turkey and dressing meal will begin at 11 a.m. All pates will be $12.00 for dine in and walk-up plates to go. Handicap parking and shuffles will be available. There will be a Country Store, bingo, games, concessions and raffles for a homemade quilt, rifle, and gift cards. Live auction will begin at 1 p.m. and the Candy Drop will be at 3 p.m.

RCRSE (Runnels County Retired School Employees_ held their September gathering at the Ballinger ISD Boardroom. Amanda Kelley gave a legislative report on the TRTA Legislative goals for the new legislative session.

On August 7th, the Runnels County 4H banquet was held in Miles. Kaelynn Hoelscher was elected as Treasurer to the county board.
Ballinger’s Christy Zhuang was elected as DECA’s state president several months ago. She’s now been selected for DECA’s Presidential Member of the Month. Pretty much everyone in Ballinger knows the young dynamo. In addition to DECA, Zhuang is also a member of FCCLA and runs her own photography business. I would say “she runs her own photography business when not busy.” But, that wouldn’t be accurate since the young lady is never not busy.
