Two communities who share a name

In an era defined by rapid change and digital connectivity, the charm of small-town living and intergenerational communities often stands in stark contrast to the fast-paced world around us. These close-knit environments, rich in history and shared experiences, offer a unique lifestyle that emphasizes the importance of community, yet they also require intentional effort from both longtime residents and newcomers to truly thrive.Since becoming the Editor-in-Chief of the Winters Express, a community newspaper in Winters, California, I’ve been delighted to learn about a similar community by the same name.

Winters FFA round-up

On September 7, Winters FFA volunteered for and represented their club at Winters Dove Fest. The Winters Dove Fest is an annual event in Winters.

32nd Annual Runnels SWCD Outdoor Classroom

The Runnels Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors is proud to announce that the 32nd Runnels SWCD Outdoor Classroom was a success! There were 9 educational stations for the kids to enjoy and learn a little bit about why conservation is important! Thank you to Alvin and Eddie Dunn for letting us use their facilities at the Los Arroyos Ranch here in Runnels County. There were around 130 kids from the 5th grade classes of Ballinger, Miles, and Winters Elementary present along with their teachers and chaperones.
