Budget cuts could be disastrous for Meals on Wheels
Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-R-19) is Chair of the House Budget Committee and is proposing budget cuts that include the option for elimination of Social Services Block Grant ((SBG) funding. While I certainly understand the need to reduce spending and realize that significant changes may be necessary, I would like to bring to your attention the vital Meals on Wheels services provided by SSBG funds for the frail elderly and adults with disabilities.
