Deloris Duplechain

Deloris Duplechain, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Graveside service will be Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery located at Texas Loop 438, Winters, TX 79567 under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early. She was born on Friday, October 13, 1933 to Louis and Gladys Hord. Deloris graduated from Winters High school in 1949. She married Leonard Long in 1949 and they were blessed with 4 children. Deloris married Daniel Duplechain in 1972. She was a member of Lake Brownwood First Baptist Church. She loved gardening and playing games. Deloris will be deeply missed. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and her husband, Daniel. Deloris is survived by her sister, Dalah; her 4 children, Aloma, Linda, Gary, Paula and their spouses; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 greatgreat- grandchild. The family would like to thank Pecan Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Solaris Hospice Care for their dedication and special care. O Come, All Ye Faithful and carol at Old Town Christmas on Dec 23

BALLINGER - Christmas trees, snow machine, Christmas carols, fires to warm yourself around, all of it will be out on December 23 at The Last Chapter’s Old Town Christmas! The Last Chapter is inviting everyone in Runnels County to come share in the Christmas Spirit and sing some Christmas carols! The good, old fashioned kind of caroling in their Old West town! Proprietors Kellie Book and Jonathan Smith will have everything ready, “We have the snow machine ready, we have the Christmas trees set up, old fashioned goodies, Santa’s Workshop, and we’ll have the fire pits stoked and hot,” Smith said. To add a special flare, Book said that they want to invite church groups and choirs, school choirs, and everyone else out to share in the joy that is Christmas, “We really want to just welcome everyone in to enjoy Christmas.
