BALLINGER, TX - It was the moment that many of the fans gathered to watch Ballinger vs Clyde waited for all game on December 13; The Lady Cat’s Addison Martin scored her 1,000the career point. The all-around athleteis also a phenom in cross country and track scored the point as the crowd erupted.
BALLINGER - The Runnels County Sheriff Office toy drive seems to gain more momentum each year. If you’ve been anywhere in Runnels County over the last 3 weekends, you probably ran into a toy drive stop. The Fillin’ Station in Rowena has hosted a couple of them, as well as Horny Toad Brewery, and other locations.
Here we are, Christmas is in 4 days, the greatest time of the year; at least in my book. We laugh and joke with family at Thanksgiving as the excitement builds while we prepare to do some Christmas shopping.

It was a crazy football season for teams in Runnels County. Two of our teams won only a single game, while Miles made it to the playoffs being a remarkable passing attack. The All District teams were announced recently and we congratulate all of the players who were selected.
The 2022 Ballinger Jr. Livestock Show was held on December 11th at the Ballinger Community Center. The Ballinger Ag Booster event had 91 entrees shown by 36 different exhibitors. These exhibitors have invested countless hours and significant funds in these projects.
Ballinger FFA competed at the Stanton Tractor Technician Contest on December 15th. At the contest, Ballinger students competed against 14 other teams and placed 1st and 4th. In the individual rankings, Storm Skelton tied for 2nd place , Ozmar Solis took 4th and Cade Busenlehner finished 11th. The first place team was made up of Leo Luna, Storm Skelton and Charlie Poteet. The 4th place team members were Ozmar Solis, Owen Duke and Cade Busenlehner.
