Heavy rain causes 2 minor accidents

BALLINGER, Texas - Heavy rain clouds covered the majority of Runnels County on Friday, Oct 25th, resulting in two motor vehicle accidents. In a year that has been filled with extreme drought and a tanking economy, October, thankfully, offered us a respite from at least one of the challenges of the this year.

Two Ballinger High School students earn honor to take part in TMEA All-Region Choir Concert

Kira Garcia, a senior at BHS, and Nicolaas Holder, a junior at BHS, will participate in the Texas Music Educators Region 6 All-Region Choir Clinic and Concert, to be held at Permian High School in Odessa, Texas, Saturday, November 5th, 2022. The concert is set for 5:30 PM. Admission is $5.00 Kira was named to the choir and also advanced to Pre-Area auditions by placing in the top 12 of those in the alto section. This audition is the next step toward taking a place in the Texas Small Schools All-State Choir.

Winters 4H/FFA report October ‘22

The month of October started off like a cannon shot – lightening quick, making lots of noise! The month of October started off like a cannon shot – lightening quick, making lots of noise! Braden Hoppe kicked off the month traveling to the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo in Waco showing steers. Braden showed for three days in Waco, October 1-3.
