Debts and bells

This past week I read where all college graduates with college debt would be relieved of a portion or all of that debt. Personally I think they entered into that debt knowing they would have to pay it back. Their education gained from their selected school of higher learning should have given them a skill or skills for them to earn a good living and pay that debt back to their university. What does paying off their debt by our government say about owning up to one’s responsibility? What is that payoff going to cost us taxpayers? Did you pay off your debts?

The exorbitant cost of drought

Over the past few weeks, Runnels County has had many promising rain clouds, but next to none developing into actual rain showers. A few weeks ago, Bill Hancock, the managing editor of Runnels County Register, Glen Rose Reporter, and Stephenville Empire-Tribune, covered the Pray for Rain event that was held on the Runnels County Courthouse lawn.
