Several weeks ago I experienced a mess in my van. I had gotten into my van and prepared to drive to set up for a dance. I noticed the radio dial was sticky. I also noticed the console was sticky. Not to mention the heavy smell of Dr. Pepper. This did not compute until I noticed one of those small Dr. Pepper cans in the drink holder.

Yellow House Therapy opens in Winters

WINTERS - Tessa Knickerbocker and Jessica Jacob are former educators in Runnels County who recently opened a counseling business. Tessa was a teacher for 12 years and a counselor for 6 years at Ballinger High School. Jacob was a teacher for 12 years. The two licensed counselors opened Yellow House Therapy in Winters in mid-June.

SAMHSA Administration announces National Rollout of 988 Lifeline

Here is a reminder that the U.S. is getting close to the July 16 transition to 988 – the easy-to-remember number to reach the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This transition is an important step to strengthening and transforming the crisis care continuum in the U.S. To help their partners communicate about 988, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has added downloadable print files for wallet cards, magnets, and posters to its 988 Partner Toolkit. The toolkit includes logo and brand guidelines , key messages, frequently asked questions, fact sheets (English and Spanish), radio PSA scripts (English and Spanish), and more. SAMHSA is also working to make the print materials available for ordering from the SAMHSA store and will be adding social media shareables by mid-July about the basics of 988.
