BALLINGER - Twenty four two-man teams participated in the Carnegie Library Golf Tournament Saturday, June 2. Players competed for cash prizes in the tournament that was revamped this year.

BALLINGER - Twenty four two-man teams participated in the Carnegie Library Golf Tournament Saturday, June 2. Players competed for cash prizes in the tournament that was revamped this year.

There was a first place tie for the Championship Flight which included Mark and Tyler Carter and Abe Jean and Melvin Lee. The team of Colby Grimes and Aaron Poehls won third place.

The first flight winners included Randy Flint and J.D. West in first place, with McKinney and Bivins in second place and Jennifer and Ryan Beasley in third place.

In the second flight, Steve Smith and Kent LeFevre took first place with Archie Gallant and Rodney Gordon taking second place. Third place went to Cliff Matschek and Howard Schniers. The longest drive went to Kevin Jones.

The annual tournament nettied $12,400 for the Carnegie Library.
