In a rematch of last seasons Bi-District game the Lady Cats were even more dominant than they were a season ago. Ballinger was victorious 58-19.

Even more telling than the final score was the halftime score. After a 21-1 first quarter the Lady Cats would go in to halftime up 34-3.

With the game essentially over by the second half Coach Stacy Smalley was able to dip into a deep playoff bench and even allow playing time to playoff varsity members, sophomore Sarah Booher as well as freshmen Danielle Pena and Emily West.

Ballinger Kinlee Bowman with 14 points, 6 rebounds and Bryla Perkins with 11 points, 7 rebounds, provided the one-two punch for the Lady Cats. Kenzey Sanchez (7 points, 5 rebounds), Kinley Gray (6 points), Brenda Martinez (5 points) and Vivian Guerrero (5 points) all provided significant contributions.

At press time the Lady Cats are awaiting the winner between state 3A #1 Canadian and Slaton for their second round match up.

The Bearcats are sitting in second place and with the February 13 games set to determine match ups in the boys playoff contest as well.
