BALLINGER - Glenn Shepard, who has been a member of the Ballinger Noon Lions Club for the past six years, has been nominated to serve as Second Vice District Governor of 2-A1. His candidacy was approved by the Ballinger Noon Lions Club in January.

BALLINGER - Glenn Shepard, who has been a member of the Ballinger Noon Lions Club for the past six years, has been nominated to serve as Second Vice District Governor of 2-A1. His candidacy was approved by the Ballinger Noon Lions Club in January.

Shepard, who has been involved in Lionism for many years, dating back to when his father was a member of the Ballinger Noon Lions Club. He has served as chairman of two different zones in District 2A-1 and is an active member of the community serving as a deacon of First Baptist Church of Ballinger and as chairman of the Men’s Ministry.

Shepard is retired from Halliburton and his wife Alfreda, a retired teacher, have two children and two grandchildren.

Shepard has been very active in all of the activities of the Ballinger Noon Lions Club including the Lions Grocery project which netted the local club $1,200.
