To-go plates are available for $15 at the drive thru. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Live music will be provided by the band Crossfire and Brad Davis, Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter. The goal of the 2nd Annual Runnels County Music for Meals Benefit is to raise awareness and support for meal delivery to our friends and neighbors in Ballinger, Miles, Norton, Pumphrey, Rowena and Winters.

While celebrating the success of providing meals for 160 people in the County, there is also the challenge of having funding to cover the cost of those meals for an entire year.

"We are deeply grateful for all donations from Runnels County," said Betty Bradley, executive director of Meals on Wheels Plus. "However, they fall far short of the need. Music for Meals is the only Runnels County fund raiser and this year’s event sponsorships are down significantly."

Sponsorship levels available: Signature ($5,000), Band ($3,500), Stage Spotlight ($2,500), Golden Guitar ($1,500), Bluegrass Music ($1,000), Country Music ($750), Americana Music ($500), Gospel Music ($250), R & B Music ($100) and Music Fan ($50).

Contact Meals on Wheels in Abilene at 325-672-5050 or Meals For The Elderly in San Angelo at 325-655-9200 for benefits and information about being a sponsor. Donations of items for the auctions are also needed.
